Brianna DeLuke

On January 30, some fifty friends and family members gathered at Le Jardin Café, in Valatie, for a ceremony honoring Brianna DeLuke. Brianna was presented with the Silver Award, Girl Scouting's second-highest award.
Welcoming the audience and providing an overview of of the Silver Award are (left to right): Scout leader Mary Rogers, ICC troop organizer Diane Gelhorne, and Valatie Library board president, Gretchen Dawes.
For her Silver Award service project, Brianna photographed and recorded historic markers throughout the village of Valatie. A scrapbook and video documenting her efforts will be available to the public at the Valatie Library.
Valatie Village Historian, Dominick Lizzi, helped Brianna with the project. Here, he congratulates her on her accomplishment.
Ed Coons congratulates Brianna and thanks her on behalf of the John W. McConnell American Legion post for her contribution to the history of the village.
Joel Dyslin, Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge #2530, congratulates Brianna and salutes her service to the community.
