Request-A-Title

from the Mid-Hudson Library System

It almost sounds too good to be true. You can search the Mid-Hudson Library System's Online Catalog of over 2 million items in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam and Ulster County libraries and borrow books, video tapes, audio tapes, DVDs and more. All it takes is a library card from a Mid-Hudson System library and a computer with internet access.

From your home, your library, your office or your school, you can locate library materials and have them delivered to the Mid-Hudson Library System library of your choice. Here's how:

  1. Go to the home page of the library
  2. Click on Public Library Catalog
  3. Find the item you want to reserve and click the green Request-A-Title button. Enter your library card barcode number and your PIN*,
  4. Choose a pick-up location and click Submit, then click Start Over or Regular Display

OR, to check record:

  1. Go to the home page of the library
  2. Click on Public Library Catalog
  3. Click on the button labeled Check Your Record/Renew Books/Request-A-Title. Enter your library card barcode number and your PIN*, click Display Record. You are now logged in. From here you can also
  4. Click Search the Catalog.
  5. After searching and viewing a specific item, click the green Request-A-Title button
  6. Choose a pick-up location and click Submit, then click Start Over or Regular Display
  7. Click the red Log Out button when finished with all your requests

*Personal Identification Number: If you have no PIN, enter your barcode, choose a pickup location and hit enter, it will then ask you to enter a new PIN. You may change your PIN by clicking Modify Your Pin. If you forget your PIN call the library at 758-9321.
